- Crop Scout – 2 Positions
Job Category – Junior/ Entry Level
Reporting to – Cultivation Supervisor
Availability – Immediately
The Crop Scout is responsible for;
- Inspection of fields for;
Ø pests,
Ø diseases,
Ø nutrient deficiencies,
Ø irrigation issues,
Ø soil erosion and,
Ø Other environmental factors that can adversely affect crop production.
- Monitoring crop production and identifying areas of improvement. This includes;
Ø Numbers of Flowers,
Ø Number of Fruits,
Ø Weight of fruits
Ø Branches of plant,
Ø Height of plant
- The Crop Scout will collect data, take notes, and prepare detailed reports on their findings. They will also provide advice on best practices for improving crop health and yield.
- Conduct Research and Trials on plant behavior and performance.
Skills & Attribute;
Ø Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Crop Science etc.
Ø Passion for Farming (Green Fingers)
Ø Vast knowledge of crop pests and diseases
Ø Experience in the Horticultural Sector
Ø Analytical
Ø Ability to work Independently
Ø Excellent communication skills
- Greenhouse Team Leader (Propagation) – 1 position
Job Category – Junior/ Entry Level
Reporting to – Cultivation Supervisor
Availability – Immediately
Kiboberry propagates its own production plants out of mother plants.
For this we have state of the art, cold store facilities and greenhouses.
The Greenhouse Team Leader is responsible for;
- Preparation of planting medium,
- Preparation of cuttings and monitoring their growth in the greenhouse,
- Maintaining records of greenhouse activities,
- Irrigation and fertigation,
- Plant scouting and protection,
- Cleanliness and fumigation.
Skills and attributes
Ø Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Crop Science etc.
Ø Passion for Farming (Green Fingers)
Ø Highly organized (Hygiene and tidiness)
Ø Experience in the Horticultural Sector
Ø Analytical
Ø Ability to work in a team
Ø Excellent communication skills
