Arusha District Council Vacancies

Arusha District Council was established with effect from the 1st July, 2007 from the former Arumeru District Council thus forming Arusha District Council and Meru District Council. The District Council is among seven District Councils in Arusha Region, other Councils include Meru, Arusha Municipal, Monduli, Karatu, Ngorongoro and Longido.

The District  is boarded by Meru District Council to the East,Monduli District Council to the West,Longido District Council to the North West and Simanjiro District Council to the South. It surrounds Arusha Municipal Council in both sides. Administratively, the Arusha District is divided into three divisions (Muklat, Moshono and Enaboishu), 27 Wards(Ilkidinga, Moivo, Nduruma, Mwandet, Kiranyi, Oltrumet, Bangata, Laroi, Olturoto, Musa, Lemanyata, Tarakwa, Oldonyosambu, Oloirien, Kisongo, Kimnyak, Olmotonyi, Oljoro, Ilboru, Sokon II, Kiutu, Oldonyowass, Lengijave, Bwawani, Mateves, Mlangarini and Sambasha.) 67 villages, 256 sub-villages and 7,228 households. Also there is one township authority of Ngaramtani.

The Council is currently having a population of 323,198 being 154,301 males and 168,897 females with a population density of 227.4 and population growth rate of 3.4%.The average family size is 5 persons and the life expectancy is set at an average of 52 years based on the 2012 national Population and housing census report.
