The International Collaborative for Science, Education & Environment (ICSEE) is a NGo registered locally and based in Monduli, P.O, Box 50, Arusha. ICSEE have been working in Monduli district since 2009 helping to improve the livelihood of the Maasai community.

POSITION: Project Officer (1)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As part of the implementation of the “Renewable Energy for Sustainable Transformation of the Rural
  • Economy (RESTORE)” Project, ICSEE -Project is seeking to hire one Project Officer to be based in Babati District and manage and supervise the RESTORE project in four community’s area in Babati.
  • In close collaboration with the Program Manager & Monitoring & Evaluation Expert, the Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating and implementing project activities within his respective district, working under the supervision of the Program Manager & Monitoring & Evaluation Expert.
  • Will also work closely with ICSEE staff, the NGO partner of KAKUTE, in the implementation of the RESTORE project.
  • Will be responsible for coordinating and implementing project activities, managing project plans and ensuring that project objectives are met in Babati District
  • Will work closely with stakeholders, community members, and team members, and attend quarterly project meetings

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management or implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience in renewable energy solutions (previous work experience in this field is preferred).
  • Proficient in computer tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and Swahili: knowledge of local languages an added advantage
