Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) play a crucial role in the implementation and administration of government policies, programs, and services. These MDAs are governmental bodies responsible for specific sectors such as health, education, agriculture, transport, and justice. Each MDA is tasked with the management of national-level functions within its domain, ensuring that the country’s development goals are met effectively.
They also contribute to the formulation of public policy, the allocation of resources, and the coordination of activities that promote economic and social welfare. On the other hand, Local Government Authorities (LGAs) in Tanzania are responsible for managing and delivering services at the local level, ensuring that citizens have access to basic amenities and public services. LGAs include urban and rural councils, municipalities, and town councils, each providing local governance, infrastructure development, and community welfare programs.
