Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT) is a non-profit organization established in June 2011 under the Tanzanian Society Act [CAP. 337 R.E. 2002] with registration number S.A 17581 and in compliance with the NGOs Act 2002, registration number 00NGO/R/0833.
SAT Vision: To see the majority of farmers adopting recognized agroecological methods to enhance their livelihoods, preserve the environment, and reduce the strain on natural resources.
SAT Mission: To transform agricultural practices in Tanzania by effectively disseminating knowledge. To strengthen farmers’ capacities, enabling them to engage successfully in the agricultural value chain. To collaborate with both public and private sector partners to enhance their capacities in agroecology. To operate as a trustworthy organization, with a transparent, accountable, and cost-efficient approach to the holistic transformation of agriculture into an environmentally sustainable and economically viable sector.
