Job vacancies at AIRD, January 2025
Founded in 2006, AIRD’s mission is to facilitate the safe relocation of people displaced by natural or man-made disasters, while offering them and their host communities the opportunity to rebuild their lives and thrive in the long term. AIRD provides essential goods and services to help displaced individuals rebuild hope and resilience as they adjust to their new lives after fleeing their homes.
The need for secure housing for displaced people remains critical. In 2019, AIRD Tanzania constructed 279 emergency shelters, built and distributed 1,918 transitional shelters and 997 others, as well as provided 1,000 upgradeable shelters, giving many displaced families a place to live. Additionally, the organization transported 55,389 tons of Non-Food Items (NFIs) to help these individuals restart their lives.
These items were stored in 2 warehouses and 19 rub halls, with a total capacity of 12,000 m3 across various locations in the country. AIRD also helped to address water shortages by trucking 637,000 liters of water to camps. As an equal opportunity employer, AIRD encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
