Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB Bank Vacancies) is a public institution, with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania as the majority shareholder. Minority stakes are held by entities such as the Tanzania Posts Corporation, the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Posta na Simu Savings and Credit Society, the Public Service Social Security Fund, and the Workers Compensation Fund.
The Tanzania Posts & Telecommunications Corporation (TP&TC) was established to serve the Tanzanian market, and TPB emerged from the now-defunct TP&TC. TPB was founded under the Tanzania Postal Bank Act No. 11 of 1991.
However, on June 29, 2015, the United Republic of Tanzania’s Parliament repealed the Act, and the bank was incorporated on March 29, 2016, under the Companies Act (Cap 212) as TPB Bank PLC. On January 19, 2017, the bank revealed its new name, logo, and tagline (“Grow with us”) to the public, with the aim of offering convenient banking products and services through innovative solutions, enhancing value for stakeholders, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
