Job vacancies at Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS), February 2025
For over 60 years, the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) has been working alongside our Tanzanian partners. In the Serengeti ecosystem, we assist with monitoring flights, provide technical expertise through our car workshop, and supply equipment to rangers.
We also collaborate closely with nearby communities to foster development, including microcredit programs to support sustainable business ideas and additional professional training opportunities. Since 2012, we have been involved in the Selous Game Reserve, once one of the world’s largest nature reserves. In 2019, part of Selous was divided to make way for a controversial hydropower plant.
The area now includes Nyerere National Park, which we support through aerial surveillance, ranger equipment, and a car workshop. The Serengeti Ecosystem Conservation Programme (SECP) is dedicated to collaborating with partners to protect one of the planet’s most renowned ecosystems, preserving biodiversity, engaging local communities in conservation efforts, and promoting sustainable tourism practices.
