Job description

We are looking for a dependable and diligent Hospital Laundry Attendant to become a part of our patient care team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a dedication to upholding high cleanliness and hygiene standards. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, drying, pressing/ironing, folding, and distributing hospital linens and staff uniforms. Additionally, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collect and sort soiled linens from patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.
  • Operate industrial washing machines and dryers.
  • Wash, maintain and perform minor repairs on employees’ uniforms.
  • Fold and stack clean linens.
  • Distribute clean linens to patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and drying areas.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and certifications, Experience and Skills required.

  • Must have an O-level (Secondary School Certificate).
  • A certificate in Laundry Operations or Assistant Nursing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hospital laundry attendant.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
