Lifewater International is a well-established Christian nonprofit dedicated to community development, working alongside rural communities to ensure access to safe water, better sanitation, and hygiene, one village at a time. For 45 years, the organization has reached over 2.5 million people across more than 40 countries, providing life-saving clean water and promoting sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices. Lifewater’s current operations include Cambodia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The organization designs and implements tailored water access and sanitation solutions in some of the most remote communities worldwide, such as Shinyanga, Tanzania, the newest addition to its program locations. Staff have identified areas in the region where there is a critical need for safe water and better health. Local team members, who understand the cultures and languages of these communities, will guide them in adopting life-saving sanitation and hygiene practices, embodying Christ’s love by bringing health and hope to their neighbors.
Eventually, the people of Tanzania will gain access to clean water just steps away from their homes.
