The TRA Interview Results. Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) conducted written interviews in March 2025 for 1,596 job vacancies across various departments, including domestic revenue, customs and excise, human resource management, research and planning, finance, internal auditing, internal affairs, and risk and compliance. This recruitment drive followed an overwhelming response to the application period from February 6 to 19, 2025, during which TRA received 135,027 applications.
After a thorough evaluation, 112,952 candidates were shortlisted and invited to participate in the written interview process held from March 29 to 30, 2025. The interviews were conducted in multiple regions across Tanzania to ensure accessibility for all candidates. These locations included Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Arusha, Dodoma, Mtwara, Mbeya, Mwanza, Kagera, and Kigoma, each serving candidates from their respective regions.
The recruitment process emphasized fairness and transparency, with special accommodations made for candidates with specific needs. A professional consultant oversaw the process, ensuring impartiality and adherence to ethical standards. Following the written interviews, successful candidates were invited to proceed to the oral interview phase, with further details communicated to those who advanced.
