ActionAid Tanzania (AATZ) is a development organization dedicated to promoting social justice, gender equality, and the elimination of poverty. Our work in Tanzania began in 1998 as a cross-border initiative by ActionAid Kenya and evolved into a fully established Country Program by the year 2000.
Our Vision: A Tanzania free from poverty, injustice, and inequality, where everyone can live with dignity. Our Mission: To fight poverty, inequality, and injustice by working alongside people experiencing marginalization and poverty, as well as with their communities, institutions, partners, alliances, social movements, and supporters. Recognizing that young people make up the largest demographic in the country, we are committed to addressing their unique challenges and unlocking their full potential.
We operate across mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. At the grassroots level, we maintain long-term partnerships through our Local Rights Programs in specific districts such as Mafia, Unguja, Pemba, Kilwa, Tandahimba, Newala, Chamwino, and Singida. In districts like Kilosa and Mbozi, we collaborate with partner organizations to implement our programs. As an equal opportunity employer, we strongly encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
