Dangote Cement Ltd is currently hiring qualified individuals to fill vacant positions at our state-of-the-art 3.0Mta cement plant located in Mtwara, approximately 400 km from Dar es Salaam. Commissioned in December 2015, this facility is the largest cement production plant in Tanzania. With limestone reserves estimated at 500 million tonnes—enough to support operations for 149 years—the Mtwara plant is well-equipped to produce high-quality 32.5 and 42.5 grade cement. It serves both domestic markets at competitive prices and nearby export markets via sea routes.
Despite having a population of about 42 million, Tanzania’s annual per capita cement consumption is just 50kg, significantly below both global and African averages. The country’s economy is projected to grow at a robust 7.0% annually over the next five years, driven by key sectors including manufacturing, mining, and tourism. This economic growth is directly supporting increased demand for cement, and the outlook remains strong.
