The Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) – www.twcc-tz.org is a key organization that brings together women and youth entrepreneurs from across the country. Founded in December 2005, it functions as a national umbrella body, representing sector-specific Business Women Associations, corporate entities, small enterprises, and associate members.
With over 20,000 registered members and a network that impacts more than 1 million women from various economic sectors, TWCC operates through 27 regional chapters in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, 14 sectoral associations, and 11 platforms that support women engaged in cross-border trade. TWCC’s core mission is to empower and unify women and youth entrepreneurs, including those in the informal sector, by encouraging business formalization and sustainable growth.
The organization achieves this through training, mentorship, and capacity-building programs aimed at reducing poverty among women by enhancing their entrepreneurial skills and access to resources. Additionally, TWCC works hand-in-hand with public and private stakeholders to influence policy reforms that support women-led businesses. As an equal opportunity employer, TWCC invites all qualified individuals to apply for available positions within the organization.
