Job vacancies at MUHAS, June 2025

The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS Vacancies) originated as the Dar-es-Salaam Medical School in 1963. In 1968, it became the Faculty of Medicine within the University of Dar-es-Salaam. Later, in 1977, the Faculty merged with Muhimbili Hospital to form the Muhimbili Medical Centre (MMC). Following a separation from the hospital, the Faculty of Medicine was elevated to the status of a constituent college of the University of Dar-es-Salaam in 1991, under Parliamentary Act No. 9, and was named the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS).

Over time, MUCHS achieved notable progress, including increased student intake and the introduction of new academic programs. In 2005, the Act that established MUCHS was repealed through the Universities Act No. 7. As a result, MUHAS was officially formed in 2007 under Article 1 of its Charter of Incorporation, as per the provisions of the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005.

Vision: To be a leading university recognized for excellence in health professional education, research, and public service, supported by a conducive environment for learning and working. MUHAS is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.
