Marketing Specialist, Media & Advertising Job Vacancies at Equity Bank

Provide support in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the bank’s media and advertising strategies across ATL (Above-the-Line), BTL (Below-the-Line), and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall strategic goals. Manage an optimal media mix to achieve effective product and brand positioning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of go-to-market (GTM) strategies for the bank’s products and services by leveraging both traditional and digital advertising channels, in line with the marketing strategic plan.
  • Work closely with business units and support departments to ensure efficient and effective rollout of marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and other relevant departments to facilitate day-to-day media and advertising operations, including budgeting, vendor sourcing, and payment processing.
  • Support business teams in developing and executing sales promotions, activations, and incentive campaigns.
  • Manage the bank’s social media platforms and subsidiary websites, ensuring timely content sharing with the group for publishing.
  • Oversee content creation and management for Equity TV, ensuring timely updates and compliance by branches in airing the channel.
  • Ensure timely launch and execution of campaigns across traditional and digital media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly content calendar, ensuring a balanced mix of organic and product-driven content is posted as scheduled.
  • Create digital marketing strategies, including email campaigns, social media posts, and content for digital platforms such as the website, email, SMS, ATM screens, mobile app, and display ads.
  • Safeguard brand consistency across all internal and external communications related to Equity’s products and services.
  • Continuously explore innovative strategies to enhance brand visibility and recall at branches and other customer touchpoints.
  • Lead the development of lead generation strategies to expand outreach and support business growth.
  • Evaluate product positioning and online marketing materials to identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize performance of the bank’s owned digital channels.
  • Collaborate with business units to craft and promote product and educational content online.
  • Oversee video content production for social media use.
  • Stay informed on digital marketing and industry trends to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Ensure that the bank’s website and digital platforms are consistently updated and reflect current, relevant content.
  • Monitor and understand evolving trends and best practices in social media marketing.
  • Explore new influencer and partnership opportunities and present insights to management.
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing team to ensure digital content aligns with the brand’s tone, voice, and visual identity in accordance with brand guidelines.
  • Enforce strict adherence to brand guidelines in all forms of communication and printed materials.
