Clearing and Forwarding Officer Job Vacancy at Kimomwe Motors Ltd
Kimomwe Motors Ltd is a company engaged in the import, sale, and clearing and forwarding of vehicles. Due to the growth of our business, we are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Clearing and Forwarding Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The applicant should possess the following qualifications:
- Must have completed a Certificate or Diploma in Customs and Tax Administration from the Institute of Tax Administration (ITA).
- Must have a valid TIN Number.
- Must have a good understanding of clearing & forwarding procedures, including
- Importation of cargo at port
- Customs and duty procedure
- Presentation of customs documents
- Must have an understanding of customs systems (e.g. TANCIS/TRA systems).
- Must be honest, disciplined, and have good ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in clearing & forwarding related work will be given priority.
MAIN DUTIES
- Coordinate and manage all clearing & forwarding procedures.
- Ensure all customs documents are submitted accurately and on time.
- Cooperate with relevant authorities (TRA, Ports, Shipping Lines etc.).
- Ensure cargo is released on time without delay.
