St. Jude School is pleased to announce one (1) vacancy for the position of Driver for qualified Tanzanians.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive school vehicles with care and attention
  • Be careful and regularly inspect the vehicle you have been assigned to ensure it is safe before and during driving
  • Maintain vehicle/spare parts/fuel information and any changes including filling out the “log book” accurately and for each incident and vehicle trip
  • Report on time when the vehicle is repaired and/or goes to “service”
  • Follow road safety procedures, rules, regulations and guidelines
  • Provide cooperation to school authorities and relevant institutions when a problem occurs with the school vehicle you are driving Follow vehicle arrangements and schedules and the instructions of the
  • Chief Driver regarding vehicle routes
  • Participate in The School of St. Jude’s festivals and social activities once they are scheduled
  • Provide written information if the vehicle you are driving experiences a malfunction or accident that will prevent the planned trip or route from continuing.
Applicant Qualifications
  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen not less than 35 years old.
  • Must be able to read and write fluently in Swahili. Speaking, writing and/or reading English will enhance the application
  • Must have a valid Class C-plain and Class E HGV driver’s license with relevant certificates.
  • A driving license from a recognized institution
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience driving school buses and freight vehicles Terms and Conditions
