The mine is located within the Biharamulo Forest Reserve, South West of Mwanza, in the Kagera Region. Position: Senior Procurement Officer
Number of Posts: 01
Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site
Work Roster: 6/3
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating procurement and disposal by tender activities, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and company procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all procurement and disposal by tender activities of the procuring entity, except adjudication and contract award
- Supporting the functioning of the Tender Board
- Implementing Tender Board decisions
- Liaising directly with the relevant Authority on matters within the Procurement Management Section jurisdiction
- Reviewing and drafting the Annual Procurement Plan (AAP)
- Checking and preparing statements of requirements
- Preparing tendering documents
- Preparing advertisements for tender opportunities
- Issuing approved contract documents
- Coordinating the performance of the Goods Inspection and Acceptance Committee
- Preparing procurement reports and maintaining procurement-related records
- Developing individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of performance agreements in consultation with the immediate supervisor
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or an equivalent qualification
- Possession of Certified Procurement and Supplies Professional (CPSP) certification
- Registered by the Procurement Professional Board in an approved category
- At least five (5) years of working experience, with a minimum of two (2) years at senior level
- Experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage
- Must be computer literate
