Enza Zaden Tanzania Ltd is pleased to invite applications for:

Graduate Development & Learnership Programme 

Reports to: Assigned Mentor / Departmental Supervisor
Position Type: Learnership Programme (Non-Employee Engagement)
Programme Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Programme Duration: 12 Months (Fixed Term)

Objective of the Programme:

To provide recent graduates with structured, practical learning exposure in a professional agricultural environment, enabling the development of technical, operational, and professional skills aligned with global seed production standards.

Important Note (Programme Nature):

This is a Graduate Learnership Programme established for training and development purposes. Participation does not constitute an employment relationship under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Participants will be engaged under a Learnership Agreement and will receive a monthly stipend (training allowance) to support their participation. This is not a salary and does not attract employee benefits or statutory contributions.

Responsibilities (Learning Scope):

Participants will:

  • Participate in structured induction and orientation programmes
    • Undertake guided, on-the-job learning under supervision
    • Rotate across relevant departments to gain exposure (where applicable)
    • Assist in assigned tasks strictly for learning and development purposes
    • Observe and support operational activities within seed production and related functions
    • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct
    • Participate in periodic learning assessments and feedback sessions

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Horticulture
  • General Agriculture
  • Crop Science or related fields
  • Agronomy
  • 0–3 years of post-graduation experience
  • Strong academic performance
  • Demonstrated interest in agriculture and innovation
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Kiswahili
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a team environment
  • Priority will be given to graduates from Sokoine University of Agriculture

Important Considerations:

  • Must be a Tanzanian national
  • Must not be currently engaged in full-time employment
