Job vacancies at CBE, January 2025
The College of Business Education CBE was founded in 1965 through the College of Business Education Act No. 31 of 1965, passed by Parliament. It was officially inaugurated by the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Excellency J.K. Nyerere, in January 1965.
The College received its legal status as an autonomous institution with a governing body as outlined by this Act, which also guides its administration. Over the years, CBE has expanded, opening its second campus in Dodoma in October 1983, also inaugurated by President Nyerere.
A third campus was established in Mwanza in December 2007, and in 2013, a campus in Mbeya was opened, offering Ordinary Diploma and Basic Certificate courses. The number of programs offered has grown from one in 1965 to 51 in 2023, spanning postgraduate and undergraduate levels across all campuses. As of now, the College has a total of 16,988 students enrolled across its campuses.
