The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), owned by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC), trains over 3,000 students. CUHAS offers various programs, including PhD, Master’s degrees in Medicine, Public Health, Pediatric Nursing, Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Biology, as well as Doctor of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy, and various diploma courses in related fields.
The student body consists of both local and international students. By 2005, CUHAS had become fully registered by the Tanzania Commission of Universities (TCU).
