Position: Make & Pack Electrical Technician
Job Purpose:
To efficiently conduct skilled maintenance, trouble shoot breakdowns, regular monitoring, testing, diagnose faults and execute electrical repairs and replacement of a wide variety of electrical equipment and implementation of modifications.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor electrical machine performance by implementing agreed work instructions and routines as per company policy and procedures, operating manuals, and guidelines. This includes but not limited to spare parts handover and replacement, compiling shift reports on problems identified, solved and unresolved (as per agreed format and shift routines). Review and report on machine performance highlighting breakdown and recommended action plans as per agreed shift handover routines and work schedule.
- Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of all electrical related equipment including motors, fans, solenoid valves, drivers, controllers, HMI devices, contactors, sensors, circuit breakers, LV/HV switchboards and any associated power and control wiring and cables, as per work schedules and routines.
- Troubleshoot to identify various machine problems that may arise during the shift and report the solutions implemented in solving those potential problems.
- Improve machine performance through implementing regular maintenance service schedules as agreed, needed repairs proficiently to reduce downtime and repeated breakdown occurrence.
- Achieve and maintain a safe working environment and understand Environmental, Health and Safety hazards and risks relevant to the work and ensure appropriate control measures are in place to maintain a healthy and safe workplace for workers under your supervision.
Requirements:
- University bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar environment in a multinational company
- Effective communication skill in English and Swahili.
- Excellent user of MS Office (Words, Excel) and SAP.
- Business knowledge in FMCG industry or experience will be an added advantage.
