Teachers at Felixstowe Academy
FELIXSTOWE ACADEMY We are seeking dedicated and resourceful Primary Years Teachers to deliver the Cambridge Primary curriculum in English, Mathematics, and Science for learners in Year 1 through Year 4.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and implement engaging lessons based on the Cambridge Primary (CP) learning objectives for Stages 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Integrated Instruction: Create cross-curricular links between Science and Mathematics, using English as the medium for developing critical thinking and communication.
Assessment for Learning: Utilize Cambridge Primary Progression Tests and Checkpoints to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Classroom Management: Maintain a stimulating, safe, and organized learning environment that encourages student independence and collaboration.
Resource Development: Design and adapt high-quality teaching materials that cater to diverse learning needs within the classroom.
Professional Collaboration: Work closely with the school administration and fellow staff to align teaching strategies with international standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in education, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience teaching the Cambridge Primary Curriculum specifically for the lower and middle primary years.
- Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in digital learning tools and classroom technology.
- Attributes: Highly organized, culturally sensitive, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Multitask: The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
