Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited (Zamcargo Limited), originally known as Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited, was established in early 1975, with its first employee hired in May of that year. The company was initially created to offer freight forwarding services to the former Zambia Consolidated Copper Mining (ZCCM) group. On June 7, 1988, the company officially changed its name to Zamcargo Limited, and it was registered as a clearing and forwarding service provider.
At its Container Freight Station (CFS), the company offers a secure facility for loading and storing customers’ export cargo before transportation to the port. The Mukuba Depot, located just 1 km from the port, features a large 70,000 square meter warehouse and is connected to the TAZARA Railway via dedicated spurs.
