We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Poultry Expert to join our team and support our customers in reaching their farming objectives.
Position Summary
The Poultry Expert will serve a dual function—driving sales and delivering technical extension services. This role involves promoting and selling our poultry feed while also offering hands-on support and guidance to farmers on effective poultry management and commercial farming techniques.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing:
- Promote and sell poultry feed to farmers, cooperatives, and other poultry stakeholders.
- Create and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Build and nurture relationships with current and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities and stay informed on industry changes.
Technical Support and Extension Services:
- Provide expert guidance on poultry farming, covering nutrition, breeding, health, and biosecurity.
- Visit farms to evaluate conditions, troubleshoot issues, and offer practical solutions.
- Lead training programs, workshops, and seminars to educate farmers on best practices and innovations.
- Help farmers adopt sustainable, profitable farming models.
Technical Knowledge and Expertise:
- Keep up with the latest advancements in poultry farming and industry standards.
- Work with the R&D team to share feedback and suggest product enhancements.
- Develop and share educational materials like guides, manuals, and newsletters.
Customer Support:
- Respond to customer queries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective and timely support.
- Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions and farm visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Hands-on experience in poultry farming or husbandry, with a deep understanding of commercial poultry operations.
- Background in sales and customer service in the poultry or agricultural sector.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willing to travel frequently for farm visits and industry events.
