Primary Objective: Safeguard the company’s intellectual property and physical assets, ensuring their safety and security at all times. Oversee the performance of security service providers for both static guarding and cargo escorts, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Report any security-related issues or incidents to the Impala Tanzania Country Manager and the Impala Regional Security Manager. Stay informed on the national security situation, conduct investigations when necessary, and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to both the Tanzania Country Manager and Regional Security Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Key Responsibilities
Main Duties – including but not limited to:
- Static Security for Warehouses and Facilities: Supervise security vendors in line with performance metrics, ensuring proper use of CCTV, access control systems, and perimeter defenses.
- In-Transit Cargo Security: Manage escort security services to ensure safe cargo delivery, according to KPIs.
- Administrative Tasks: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly security reports. Respond to communications via email and phone.
- Investigations and Assessments: Conduct incident investigations, route risk assessments, and security audits of vendors.
- Security Enhancements: Regularly evaluate and upgrade security protocols and strategies.
- Training: Deliver training sessions on security awareness, risk prevention, and response procedures to relevant personnel.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of a high school diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Background in military or police work is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili, written and spoken.
Key Relationships and Reporting Structure
- Collaborates with internal departments and external partners, including contractors, government officials, and regulatory bodies.
