Hesu Investment Ltd has been authorized by the Tanzania Revenue Authority to operate an Inland Container Depot (ICD) since 2012. Strategically located, the depot spans 9 acres of paved space, capable of accommodating up to 3,800 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) stacked five containers high.

Position: Security Guards (40 Positions Available)

Overview:
Security Guards at Hesu Investment Ltd play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of cargo, assets, personnel, and infrastructure within the ICD, CFS, and throughout our transport operations. This position involves monitoring cargo flow, protecting storage areas, overseeing vehicle movements, and enforcing security procedures to prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized access.

Key Duties:

• Safeguard AZ NAS client property and personnel as instructed by the Operations Department
• Execute any lawful orders given by supervisors
• Protect lives and company property
• Minimize risk exposure to the client
• Manage guard posts efficiently
• Exhibit reliability and professionalism
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents
• Request assistance during emergencies
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with clients
• Address customer issues and incident reports efficiently
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting
• Share relevant updates with supervisors

Work Context & Expectations:

• Ensure consistent and effective presence at assigned client sites
• Arrive at the guard post 15 minutes before each shift begins
• Report for duty in proper uniform and with necessary equipment
• Understand post-specific duties and surroundings
• Handle emergencies and threats as trained
• Record and report any unusual incidents or changes
• Respond to client concerns professionally, escalating when necessary
• Offer insights and suggestions to improve site security
• Keep all logs, occurrence books, and reports accurate and up to date
• Document all incidents during the shift thoroughly

Requirements:

• Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
• Completed training in any of the following: Militia, National Service, Basic Police, or Basic Prisons courses from accredited institutions
• Ability to remain composed during emergencies
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot security risks
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, especially in coordination with departments such as logistics, warehousing, and law enforcement
