Amani Centre for Street Children is a legally registered charity in Tanzania under the registration number 00NG0/RI/00266. Internationally, it is supported by partner organizations: Friends of Amani USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 27-3621599); Vrienden van Amani Nederland, a Dutch ANBI organization (RSIN 856833691); and Friends of Amani UK, a registered UK charity (Number: 1107618). Our mission is to decrease the number of children experiencing abuse or living and working on the streets in Tanzania.
We do this by offering them a safe, supportive space where they can heal, receive an education, and develop—ultimately preparing them to return to their families and communities. Our vision is a future where every child lives free from exploitation and has access to opportunity. The caregivers at Amani lead by example, demonstrating strong values, patience, wisdom, and integrity in both their actions and decisions.
