TSL is looking for a Senior Research & Advisory Associate for a dual-mandate role combining corporate advisory transaction execution with institutional-grade investment research. The position acts as a bridge across TSL’s Global Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, and Corporate Advisory units.

Key Responsibilities
- Advisory & Transaction Execution:
- Support and lead advisory mandates including IPOs, bond issuances, private placements, M&A, loan syndications, and corporate restructurings.
- Prepare pitch books, Information Memorandums (IMs), transaction teasers, and investor presentations.
- Perform financial due diligence, business valuations, and deal structuring for corporate clients listing on the DSE.
- Investment Research & Financial Modeling:
- Produce equity research reports, sector analyses, company valuations, and macroeconomic outlooks.
- Build and maintain complex financial models (DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transactions, LBO frameworks).
- Monitor macroeconomic and capital market trends to provide actionable insights for trading and wealth management teams.
- Client Engagement & Team Leadership:
- Present market briefings and research reports during client roadshows and advisory discussions.
- Ensure full compliance with CMSA and DSE regulatory standards across all research and deal outputs.
- Mentor junior analysts and manage TSL’s internal research database.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, advisory, investment research, or capital markets in Tanzania or East Africa.
- Technical Skills: Expert financial modeling (DCF, Comps), advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of CMSA and DSE regulatory frameworks.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili.
Preferred Advantages:
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Proven track record in executing advisory transactions (IPOs, bond issuances, M&A).
