The Procurement & Logistics Coordinator will manage procurement activities and coordinate the movement of goods across the supply chain. This includes sourcing reliable suppliers, managing purchase orders, tracking shipments, coordinating customs processes, and resolving logistics challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Support
- Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for equipment, materials, and services.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing and tracking.
- Maintain supplier relationships, negotiate procurement terms, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Process supplier invoices for payment by matching purchase orders against invoices and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
2. Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, customs clearance, and inland transportation.
- Track shipments, manage delivery schedules, and resolve logistical bottlenecks.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and suppliers for smooth logistics operations.
- Support the optimization of warehouse and inventory management practices.
3. Supply Chain & Operations Support
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement needs and align sourcing with project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, shipments, and inventory.
- Assist with risk management and contingency planning related to procurement and logistics.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and manage documentation for customs, import/export activities, and procurement audits.
- Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management reports.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and/or logistics coordination, ideally in a fast-paced or growth-oriented setting.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Solid understanding of end-to-end procurement processes (supplier selection, PO management, invoice processing).
- Hands-on experience coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, managing customs clearance, and working with freight forwarders.
- Familiarity with Tanzanian import/export procedures and customs regulations is an advantage.
- Proficiency with procurement or logistics ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar platforms).
