Resident Engineer Job at TANROADS

Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Works. Established on July 1, 2000, TANROADS is responsible for road safety, environmental measures, and strategic road sector policies. The Regional Manager, TANROADS-Tanga, on behalf of the Chief Executive, invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for vacancies for the Supervision of Mafuleta – Kileguru Road Project (30KM).

Position Title: Resident Engineer (1 Post)

Educational/Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Registered with ERB as a Professional Engineer with a valid practicing license.
Experience in contract management under FIDIC conditions is an added advantage.
Served as a Resident Engineer in at least two road construction projects of similar scope.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Tanzanian citizen with 10+ years of experience in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• -Supervise the contractor on-site.
  Manage project work plans, quality, and contracts.
• Process monthly statements and facilitate payments.
• Prepare progress reports, minutes of site meetings, and maintain records.
• Monitor social and environmental impact measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
