The company underwent its official rebranding on November 26, 2024, when it changed its name from Tigo to Yas, aligning with a broader continental strategy to unify its operations across several African countries, including Madagascar, Senegal, Comoros, and Togo.

A milestone event marking 100 days under the Yas identity—held in Zanzibar on March 14, 2025—highlighted its achievements in network expansion, digital financial inclusion campaigns, and community impact initiatives across the Isles.
