Volunteer Opportunity: Medical Doctor at CCBRT – Dar es Salaam

Position Overview:
CCBRT is currently seeking a committed Medical Doctor to join its clinical team on a volunteer basis. This role is ideal for a doctor who is passionate about contributing to disability prevention and early detection efforts, while also gaining valuable clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general medical care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Conduct regular patient clinics, screenings, and admissions
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including maintaining operation lists
- Collaborate with senior doctors and specialists regarding patient discharge and treatment plans
- Assist in minor surgical procedures and support senior surgeons during major surgeries
- Participate in community outreach programs
- Work on a rotating shift schedule, including night and weekend on-call duties
This position is volunteer-based and includes opportunities for professional development through hands-on learning.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Completion of a one-year internship
- At least one year of post-internship experience in a reputable healthcare setting
- Valid 2024 practitioner license and registration with the Tanganyika Medical Council
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to client-focused care and a proactive work ethic
