Job opportunities at Mwanza City council – The town of Mwanza was established in 1892 as an Administrative Center and Business Center to control the production of cotton in the Lake Victoria region.
In 1978 Mwanza got the status of a Municipality according to the Local Government structure established in 1972. In 2000, Mwanza was further developed to have the status of a City.
The town of Mwanza is located on the southern shores of Lake Victoria in northwestern Tanzania.
The total area is 256.45km2 of which 184.90km2 (2/3 of the total area) is dry land and the other area is covered by water.
