BANK OF AFRICA – TANZANIA (BOA Limited) is a privately-owned commercial bank serving the retail, SME, and corporate sectors within Tanzania. It officially commenced operations in the country in June 2007 following the acquisition of Eurafrican Bank, which had been active since 1994. Founded with the vision of establishing a truly Pan-African institution, BOA set out to reflect the ideals of Africa’s founding leaders. At the time of acquisition, BOA had a modest footprint of just three branches in Tanzania.
Today, BOA Tanzania has expanded significantly, operating a total of 26 branches—13 located in Dar es Salaam, 12 in other regions across the country, and one Business Center also in Dar es Salaam. The bank offers a wide array of financial services tailored to various customer needs, including accounts, debit and credit cards, loans, digital banking, as well as treasury and investment solutions.
