Chemicotex was originally founded in the late 1970s, but experienced significant growth after 2000 following the merger of Chemipack and Cotex Industries, leading to the formation of ChemiCotex and the establishment of a modern facility in Mbezi, Dar es Salaam. This fleet ensures products reach even the most remote areas of the country. Additionally, Chemicotex operates in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda through its subsidiaries and sales network. The company also exports to other East African nations and has plans to expand its network into neighboring countries.
