Job Overview:
To strengthen its credit operations, Serene Microfinance Ltd is looking to hire two qualified Loan Officers. These professionals will play a key role in supporting business growth and managing credit portfolios within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with the company’s loan products and applicant eligibility criteria
- Develop and manage a strong loan portfolio
- Recruit and screen potential clients
- Educate clients about loan products and services
- Assess applicants’ financial standing, creditworthiness, and collateral to determine loan eligibility
- Maintain regular contact with clients in the field
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly loan reports
- Ensure loan collections are made in accordance with agreed terms and company policies
- Monitor loan performance and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Update client records and account statuses regularly
- Take necessary legal action when required, in compliance with policies
- Respond to client inquiries or concerns professionally
- Negotiate repayment terms where applicable
- Identify system inefficiencies and suggest improvements
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
