TotalEnergies has been operating in Tanzania since 1969, where we are the leading retailer. We also spearhead environmental and community outreach initiatives focused on preserving biodiversity and minimizing our environmental impact. In Tanzania, we own the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), which transports production from Uganda’s Tilenga (TotalEnergies, operator) and Kingfisher (CNOOC, operator) projects in the Albert Lake basin to the port of Tanga.
Additionally, we own a receiving terminal with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters, a 27,000 cubic-meter depot, and a lubricant blending plant through our local affiliate. We operate nearly 70 service stations across Tanzania, where we sell fuel, products, and provide related services. Furthermore, we offer solar solutions for low-income communities through our service station network.
