Position: Direct Sales Officers – Workplace Lending
Department: Retail & Digital Banking
Location: Dar es Salaam
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Direct Sales Officers will be responsible for promoting personal loan offerings specifically to employees of affiliated organizations. This includes identifying and onboarding potential clients from those organizations, ensuring all new accounts comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. Officers must accurately record sales data and submit it for commission processing in a timely manner. Meeting set sales targets is essential, as is serving as the bank’s representative in the designated market area—handling customer inquiries and feedback efficiently. Additional marketing tasks may be assigned as needed, and all duties must align with the bank’s code of conduct and legal requirements.
Risk Management:
- Use risk management tools effectively in daily tasks
- Address any identified risks promptly, especially those flagged during audits or assessments
- Encourage a proactive approach to risk management within the role
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong abilities in marketing and sales
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good interpersonal and research abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field. A minimum of one year’s experience in sales is required, with experience in the banking sector considered a significant advantage.
