AXIAN is looking for a Head of Fraud & Leakage Prevention to join its Open Innovation & Fintech team, with opportunities to be based in Tanzania, Pakistan, or Dubai.

Head of Fraud & Leakage Prevention

Role Summary
This leadership role, open to both men and women, focuses on safeguarding revenues and preventing fraud across all operations and channels. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Finance, or Digital Risk (an MBA or additional Master’s preferred), alongside at least 5 years of proven experience in fraud control within Fintech, Digital Banking, or Payment Services, plus 3 years in Risk or Revenue Assurance.

Key Responsibilities
You will lead fraud detection, prevention, and revenue protection strategies at a group level, working closely with local teams in multiple countries. The role requires building strong collaborations with internal stakeholders such as IT, Technical, Commercial, Risk & Compliance, Audit, and Business Controls. Your work will involve:

• Designing and executing anti-fraud frameworks and behavior-based analytics.
• Embedding fraud prevention measures in product and platform development.
• Leading investigations, automation initiatives, and KPI monitoring for fraud and revenue leakage.
• Standardizing revenue assurance controls and improving compliance maturity.
• Delivering training to strengthen fraud and revenue assurance capabilities.
• Partnering with risk, cybersecurity, and compliance teams for comprehensive protection.

Preferred Profile

• Professional certifications in Cybersecurity (Ethical Hacking, ISM), Finance (CA, CIMA, ACCA), Anti-Money Laundering (CAMS, ACAMS), and ideally AI/ML.
• Experience in telecom, fintech, or other high-transaction industries, preferably in a multi-country role.
• Strong expertise in automation, digitalization, and results-driven strategies.
