Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer 

Role Summary:

Execute and certify inspections, repairs, and replacements on aircraft and related systems. Perform certifications within the scope of dual authorization, in line with TCAA and company regulations. Ensure tasks are completed cost-effectively while maintaining high safety standards and ensuring schedule reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize license and approval privileges to carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as defect rectifications, ensuring work meets required standards and supports the operational schedule effectively and safely.
  • Document and issue Certificates of Release to Service based on current maintenance data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements to enable timely aircraft turnaround.
  • Conduct line and base maintenance, including defect assessments, troubleshooting, and repairs, in compliance with manufacturer and company procedures to ensure continued airworthiness and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and review assigned work and resource needs to facilitate prompt defect resolution using allocated personnel.
  • Communicate potential disruptions or issues affecting operations to the Maintenance Manager, keeping them updated on all maintenance activities.
  • Perform and certify duplicate inspections on critical aircraft and engine systems to ensure their integrity and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and safety protocols by personnel under your supervision, following official manuals and guidelines.
  • Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure optimal resource use for timely and safe aircraft departures.
  • Ensure proper and timely documentation and certification of work in accordance with company procedures.
  • Identify and requisition necessary parts for maintenance tasks.
  • Verify that replacement parts are approved, correctly certified, and inspected before installation.
  • Properly handle, label, and dispatch removed components to designated areas.
  • Supervise others to maintain high workmanship standards and ensure proper tool usage.
  • Greet incoming aircraft and ensure crews are properly debriefed to identify and log defects accurately.
  • Accurately record and sign off maintenance tasks to ensure an up-to-date aircraft history.
  • Prepare technical delay reports promptly and report significant faults, hazards, incidents, or events as required.
  • Coordinate safe aircraft towing operations by communicating with tower or apron control and managing aircraft systems during movement.
  • Enforce all safety measures and actively engage in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Comply with company safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Mentor and supervise technicians to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • EASA B2 or ICAO Type II License with ATR 42/72 type ratings
  • Dual LWTR with type approval on at least one aircraft
  • Experience in both line and base maintenance
  • At least 6 months of recent ATR 42/72 certification experience within the last 2 years (documentation required)
  • Diploma or Degree in an engineering-related discipline
  • Comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems
  • Skilled in inspection and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Knowledge of TCAA regulations and human factors
  • Fluent in English
