Position Title: Project Manager
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will lead and oversee key strategic projects across business units including wholesale banking, retail banking, and treasury. The role is integral to achieving the bank’s strategic goals, improving customer and user experiences, reducing manual workloads, and increasing operational efficiency.
Required Knowledge and Competencies:
- Solid understanding of banking operations, especially within wholesale, retail, and treasury domains.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale agile project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage process automation initiatives.
- Familiarity with workflow systems and related technologies.
- Awareness of banking regulations, digital trends, and industry best practices.
- Skilled in using project management platforms and tools.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- Self-driven and capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports.
- Competency in managing people and fostering teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in ICT, MIS, Finance, or related discipline.
- Mandatory certification in a recognized project management methodology (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®).
- Agile framework certification (e.g., SAFe®, Scrum Master™) is an added benefit.
- Familiarity with Business Process Reengineering (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant project management experience in a large corporate setting.
- Background in the banking or financial sector, particularly in workflow automation, is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts, vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Plan and lead workshops to define scope, business case, implementation plans, risk mitigation strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Create detailed project plans outlining activities, milestones, and responsibilities.
- Estimate and allocate resources, budget, and timelines needed for project success.
- Assign and track project tasks across teams.
- Support other portfolios when necessary to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders and incorporate feedback where relevant.
- Ensure project outcomes comply with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about new industry trends and integrate best practices.
- Define and implement governance and communication frameworks for each project.
- Act as secretary to the Project Working and Steering Committees.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, and interdependencies with proper escalation.
- Track progress and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on target.
- Manage scope and baseline changes according to established processes.
- Oversee testing strategies, test planning, and test execution.
- Facilitate training and ensure readiness of testing resources and environments.
- Monitor integration and user acceptance testing for quality assurance.
- Conduct project closure meetings and document lessons learned.
- Define and implement a benefits realization framework in coordination with stakeholders.
- Ensure maintenance and support plans are transitioned to operations.
- Compile and secure approvals for final project closure reports.
