
Job Title: Senior Officer – HR Operations & Employee Relations

Role Summary
This position plays a key role in overseeing the daily HR operations, ensuring smooth processes across the Human Resources Department. The role ensures full compliance with internal policies, labor laws, and regulatory standards. It involves developing tools to improve departmental efficiency, particularly in onboarding, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, employee exits, and maintaining organized employee records and data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all required onboarding documentation is accurately completed for new hires and promotions.
- Oversee timely completion of employment reference checks as part of the onboarding process.
- Manage employment contracts and updates related to transfers, promotions, and changes in employee responsibilities.
- Monitor and update short-term contract information in the HR system.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to effectively manage probation periods in line with policy and labor laws.
- Periodically perform internal audits to verify that employee records are complete and policy-compliant.
- Implement strong employee records management systems for reliable data tracking and storage.
- Support the HR team in interpreting HR policies, labor laws, and compliance procedures.
- Provide guidance to HRBPs and line managers on employee relations and legal matters.
- Review and suggest updates to HR policies to align with current labor regulations.
- Ensure adherence to HR governance, including HR risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
- Develop a comprehensive exit procedure framework and advise HR leadership on handling different types of exits (resignation, performance-based, medical, etc.).
- Conduct employee surveys to gather feedback that informs HR improvement strategies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of the banking sector’s HR needs.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and legal frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Skilled in negotiation with solid business insight.
- Proven ability to build productive relationships with staff and leadership.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in HR or legal roles, with proven expertise in employee relations.
