JWTZ Opportunity 2026
The Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) announces recruitment opportunities for Tanzanian youth, from secondary education level to higher education level.
- Youth who will be recruited into the army will receive various important military training as well as training to advance them in their professional fields.
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
- Tanzanian youth wishing to join the army must meet the following qualifications:
a. Must be a Tanzanian citizen by birth.
b. Age requirements:
(1) Not more than 25 years for Form IV and Form VI education levels.
(2) Not more than 28 years for higher education level.
c. Must be physically and mentally fit.
d. Must have good character and discipline, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offense or imprisoned by a court of law.
e. Must have an original birth certificate and academic/school leaving certificates.
f. Must not have previously served in the Police Force, Prisons Service, training institutions, Anti-Smuggling Unit, or any other security organ.
g. Must have completed National Service training (JKT) under a voluntary two-year contract or as required by law and awarded a certificate.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- All applications must be handwritten and submitted to the Army Headquarters at Msalato, Dodoma, from April 15, 2026 to April 28, 2026, with the following attachments:
a. Copy of National ID or NIDA number.
b. Copies of birth certificate and school/college certificates.
c. Copy of JKT certificate for applicants who completed the contract. (Youth currently in JKT camps are not eligible for this announcement.)
d. Applicant’s mobile phone number.
