What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain in-house software applications that support the school’s operations. 
  • Work with departments across the school to understand business requirements and develop practical software solutions. 
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing applications to ensure reliable performance. 
  • Develop clean, secure and maintainable software following School development standards. 
  • Test, debug, and review software to ensure quality and reliability. 
  • Support system integrations with internal and third-party applications. 
  • Create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials. 
  • Train users on newly developed systems and provide technical support when required. 
  • Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency across the school. 
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Applications team to resolve user support requests and continuously improve existing systems.

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Experience developing software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks. 
  • Good understanding of software development principles, databases, and system integration. 
  • Experience developing web applications using PHP, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Experience working with jQuery, AJAX, RESTful APIs, and Git version control.
  • Experience troubleshooting software issues and maintaining business applications. 
  • Ability to gather user requirements and translate them into software solutions. 
  • Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills. 
  • Experience with software testing, debugging, and version control is an advantage. 
  • A willingness to continuously learn emerging technologies and industry best practices.
