In an effort to stream line operations, Serene Microfinance LTD seeks to recruit qualified Loan Recovery Officer to be involved in debt/Loan recovering.
Working Station: Dar es Salaam Advert Date: 3rd August, 2026
Loan Recovery Officer Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep tracking of outstanding loans and Defaulters
- Plan course of action to recover Non Performing Loans
- Perform loan recovery as per target given
- Locate and contact debtors
- Update account status and database regularly
- Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
- Handle customers’ questions or complaints
- Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans as directed by your supervisor
- Build trust with debtors
Required Skills & Qualifications.
- Two years of experience as Loan recovery officer in a microfinance /bank
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication Skills and financial skills
- Excellent Communication (both written and spoken) in English & Swahili
Education Requirements
- Holder of University Degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, Finance or other related field
- At least 2 year experience in a similar position.
