Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Departmental Leadership & Guest Experience:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Front Office team to deliver warm, discreet, and tailored service.
- Oversee guest arrivals, check-ins, stays, and departures, ensuring all preferences and special requests are anticipated and fulfilled.
- Act as the welcoming face of the resort, handling complex guest queries and resolving challenges with grace and professional authority.
- Operational & Inter-Departmental Coordination:
- Maintain strong daily alignment with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Reservations teams to guarantee seamless guest itineraries.
- Utilize Property Management Systems (PMS) to track guest histories, room allocations, occupancy, and revenue goals.
- Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain boutique 5-star quality controls.
Candidate Qualifications & Competencies
Experience & Education:
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive management experience in Luxury Front Office or Guest Relations roles within boutique 5-star resorts or high-end luxury hotels.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or professional certification in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related discipline.
- Destination Knowledge: Prior experience in East Africa or Indian Ocean luxury island destinations is highly advantageous.
Technical & Language Skills:
- System Knowledge: High proficiency in Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera or equivalent PMS software).
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written & spoken). Spoken French is a strong advantage; Swahili or additional languages are a plus.
