The Human Resources Officer assists the HR Director/Manager in managing daily HR functions to align talent management with strategic business goals. This role is responsible for front-line employee recruitment, conducting new hire orientations, maintaining digitized employee databases, driving employee engagement/welfare initiatives (LIFE Committee), and handling internal staff relations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Coordinate the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process for all front-line and operational hotel staff.
- Maintain an organized, up-to-date resume database to support future talent pipelines.
- Lead comprehensive orientation and induction programs for new hires in compliance with Rotana standards.
- Employee Relations & Welfare:
- Receive and address employee complaints, queries, and suggestions in a fair, confidential, and prompt manner.
- Partner with the LIFE Committee to organize, plan, and implement employee sports, social, and welfare events.
- Promote an open-door policy, building approachable relationships with team members across all operational levels.
- HR Operations & Data Administration:
- Maintain accurate, digitized employee records and computerized payroll systems while preserving strict confidentiality.
- Assist HR leadership in drafting periodic workforce reports, departmental budgets, and operational analytics.
- Coordinate cross-departmental HR activities, training schedules, and policy implementation across the hotel.
Candidate Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. Johari Rotana Tanzania
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR Officer or Generalist capacity (prior experience within a 5-star luxury hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred).
- Tech Skills: Fully computer literate with proficiency in computerized HRIS and payroll management systems.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili.

- Strong understanding of hotel operations, labor laws, and employee relations frameworks.
