The IT Quality Assurance Officer will lead and coordinate Software Quality Assurance (SQA) processes across project teams and business units. The role is responsible for establishing test strategies, executing functional and non-functional tests, managing UAT environments, supporting core banking system (T24) changes, and ensuring all deployed software meets quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Reviews & SQA Strategy
- Champion and coordinate business requirement reviews across cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are complete, precise, and testable.
- Partner with project teams to define the overall test strategy, test plan, schedule, resource needs, and effort estimation aligned with project scopes.
- Fine-tune SQA processes, adopt new testing tools, and establish reusable templates in line with the bank’s SQA Framework.
2. Test Execution & Artifact Management
- Develop, document, and maintain test cases, test scripts, test data, validation scripts, and automated test scripts.
- Establish test beds for white-box and black-box testing and conduct Test Readiness Assessments prior to test execution.
- Execute functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring traceability to original business requirements.
- Perform post-deployment sanity tests, regression testing, and post-implementation reviews to verify software performance in production.
3. Core Banking Support (T24) & Change Tracking
- Provide operational support for Core Banking Application (T24) issues, user profile management, and change requests.
- Track business system changes, share T24 status updates with the IT Service Delivery Manager, and ensure optimal UAT environment availability.
4. Defect Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare and review test results, report defects, errors, and configuration flaws, and produce test acceptance reports for projects.
- Evaluate release deliverables against quality benchmarks and escalate potential issues to prevent deployment risks.
- Contribute to software process improvement policies and strategies within the IT division.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required): Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an IT-related field.
- Master’s Degree (Added Advantage): Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management.
Professional Certifications
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2).
- ITIL Foundation or higher.
Work Experience
- Overall Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, testing, and IT systems integration (preferably within the banking or financial services sector).
